Politics is wrong; we need leadership- Prophet Kobi

Prophet Kobi
The Founder and Leader of the Glorious Wave Church International (GWCI), Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, has said that there was something wrong with Ghana’s politics and that it was not ‘politics’ that the nation needed but ‘leadership.’

He said on Nyansa Boakwa’s show, Nsem Pii on Happy FM, that ‘Democracy is to handle material things on a people’s (nation) behalf’ while ‘Politics is to handle material things on a people’s behalf for the attainment of profit.’ He emphasised that democracy and politics affect majority of people in a nation but both cannot be equated to ‘leadership.’

Prophet Kobi said that Ghana’s democracy and politics lack leadership qualities which are most essential ingredient in building a successful nation. ‘And leadership comes from God. This brings God into the equation; kingdom life. If Ghana will succeed, it needs a God-partnered person (leader).’

He said that Kingdom life is whereby God has a say in the ruling affairs of a nation and controls the leader’s actions and inactions.’ Israel flourished (in days of old) because of God’s involvement in the nation’s affairs. In democracy, judgements are taking solely by men and man cannot think perfectly like God. The secret ingredient to a successful ruling is the involvement of God.’

He quizzed Nsem Pii’s listeners on why people call on God when the nation starts to realise that times are hard but do not look up to God first before elections.

Prophet Kobi quoted Proverbs 13:24 saying ‘righteousness’ is driven by law and a law abiding leader that could uplift a nation comes from observing God’s orders.

He did not rubbish the existence of democracy nor politics but challenged Ghanaian politicians to attach God-given leadership to their ruling. ‘Not even Mahama nor Akuffo Addo know the qualities of a God-partnered leader. But there is hope at the end of the tunnel,’ he added.
