In a part of series of
discussions on applying for loan and its consequences, the head of Akanayo
Herbal Clinic has on Monday, 25th July, 2013, outlined the spiritual
antidote to Friday borns when in problems.
Alhaji Akanayo said on
Nsem Pii, Happy FM, that people born on Friday could make use of a plant known
locally as “Akok)-m3sa.” Others that could be used include onion, or “pr3k3s3,”
“nyenya” to make things go well for them in life.
“But for all the things
available to Friday borns, it is the Akok)-m3sa that has the most spiritual
potency,” he said.
Alhaji Akanayo said
that he who born on Friday is fighting debt could make use of the Akok)-m3sa. He
said that a female could pluck four (4) of the leaves of the said plant, three
(3) for a male and squeeze them in the palms. After this put the leaves under
your pillow; the leaves should be under the pillow for four days if the person
is a female and three days, a male, respectively.
He said that a parent
who wants his or her Friday born child not to be attacked by a ‘bad eye’ could
also make use of Nyenya root. After collecting the root of the Nyenya, it is
grinded with four (4) “fam wisa” or three (3) “fam wisa”- according to the
gender of the child. The mixture is then smeared in the trench of the spinal
cord at the back of the child and the child is to sleep with it till the
following morning.
Akanayo said that for a
child (who has shed teeth) who wants a retentive memory, the parent could pluck
the flowers of Akok)-m3sa, grind the leaves and mix with honey to be given to
the child- by way of mouth.
He said that for a
child to be recognized in the society (known), the parent could pluck a leaf
each on every Friday, four (4) or three (3) times depending on the gender of
the child. After the last day of collecting the leaves, it is mixed with salt
and grinded. The mixture is then placed on the forehead of the child to sleep
with it till the next day.
On averting killer
diseases, if the child has not yet acquired such a disease, the parent could
collect the Akok)-m3sa, four or three depending on the gender of the child as
said above. Grind the leaves and let the child stand on it with his or her bare
foot. The parent should by this time say “I strike out any killer disease from
your life.” Air from the mouth should be blown in the center of the child’s
head afterwards. He noted that the grinded leaves on which the child stood
should not be swept till the following morning.
Alhaji Akanayo said
that if a parent would want to hide the soul of his or her child from evil
doers, a collection of the Akok)-m3sa is swerved around the child. The leaves
are then buried without the knowledge of him or her. The child, later, is
tasked to go in search for the leaves. “If he comes to tell you he did not find
it, you have succeeded in hiding his/her soul,” he said. He noted that an adult
born on Friday could also hide his soul. He or she picks the leaves of the
Akok)-m3sa and put it (like hiding it) behind him or her while looking into a mirror.
If you do not see any part of the leaves in the mirror, it means you have hidden
your soul. He added that the adult should say, “May whatever bad thing that happens
be so at my back (absence).”
In coming out
victorious in a competition in which a Friday born is part, Alhaji Akanayo said
that using the Akok)-m3sa as a spices in cooking chicken soup, the two legs of
the chicken should be eaten by the Friday born. This is irrespective of the Friday
born being an adult or a child as eating it gives one goodluck.
The Dabodabo Man
promised of continuing the discussion with the rest of the days.
