The Dabodabo Man,
Alhaji Akanayo, of the Black Herbal Clinic has outlined reasons why young men
and women are struggling to get married or suffering in marriage.
Speaking on Nsem Pii on
Happy Fm here in Accra, he primarily focused on women’s petty mistakes they do
either before or after marriage.
He said that improper
dressing, preference for rich men, insubordination among a lot contribute to
women trooping into prayer camps for spiritual intervention.
Akanayo said that humans
call problems for themselves and ironically, later go in search for solutions. “The
solution is within us and one must live a good life to reflect good fortune in
our lives,” he said.
He made an interesting
suggestion to men to take their would-be-wives and wives to places such as the
Makola Market, Tema Station and the likes at night for them to see how
privileged they are in being in the comfort of a man. He said this in relation
to the fact that some women do sleep in poor places while the would-be-wives
and wives keep complaining bitterly about their men not taking them to the
malls.
Paa Kwasi and Nyansa
Boakwa added their voices to the preferences men have for women who would
either be their girl friends or wives.
Akanayo threw a word of
caution to men to also live a decent life and that he who seeks a good marriage
should ask himself or herself if their lives befit a good marriage. “Ask
yourself if you qualify?”
