The officials of the National
Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) have been called upon to vacate their
offices if they say they are short of funds.
Nyansa Boakwa, the host
of Nsem Pii on Happy FM here in Accra, made this statement on his Friday show.
He said that there is
no point of rationalism in people taking salaries while the job is not getting done.
Nyansa bemoaned the
NADMO for solely relying on the government for funding while it can solicit for
funds to rescue victims.
NADMO has for recently
hit the media landscape with a shocking revelation that they are lacking
logistics and other items that contribute to their work.
The Eastern Regional
Chairman of NADMO, Mr Ransford Boakye, however, disagreed that NADMO does not
make any effort in soliciting for funds.
He said that recently his side of NADMO was able to gather some amount of money from some organizations.
